For me, 2011 was such an exciting year for music. Amongst the platinum selling artists, Adele‘s ’21′ was definitely a highlight for me (Yes, Jamie XX‘s remix is killer, but the originals are already beautiful). So many other fine albums finally were released by familiar artists that had huge singles the previous years (James Blake‘s [...]
Alain Brémond and Olmo Cassibba are the London-based (?) duo behind MiAOW (not to be confused with the indie rock band of the same name). There are only a few tracks I found online, but so far what I’ve heard, I think it’s pretty good! Very deep, very electronic and very jazzy with sax flourishings [...]
I don’t think I’ve ever hit the ‘zone’ this hard, especially at a family get together (that’s what it looks like?). But damn, this is what dancing and having a good time is all about. Nobody rocks it like these boys do. Thanks to Claus for this one!
Getting into the ‘work zone’ at the office or studio is a common experience for everyone one, whatever job you do. It’s taken from the “Possession” album by TBQ, and wow it’s absolutely [...]

Our first encounter with the sounds of Joachim Dyrdahl (aka Diskjokke) was his brilliant breezy disco injection to Lykke Li’s “Everybody But Me”, then later with another impressive remix for the xx’s “Basic Space”. Dyrdahl, much like his Norwegians counterparts Prins Thomas and Lindstrom, keeps disco interesting by exploring new avenues, while still retaining a [...]
